CHANTILLY DAY
Chantilly, VA
Project Type: Branding
Saharnaz Farivar, founder of SF Design Group, conceptualized and created Chantilly Day while serving as chairwoman of Chantilly Centreville Chamber of Commerce, part of Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce in Chantilly, Virginia. The intention of creating Chantilly Day was to promote Chantilly through annual celebration, recognizing its best in businesses, arts, sciences and education. In addition, Chantilly Day is a day to pause and reflect to Remember Yesterday, celebrate Today and Embrace Tomorrow. Saharnaz Farivar authored the mission statement and created the logo.
Mission Statement: Chantilly Day is created to bring a sense of community, promote living with purpose, respect and awareness. Chantilly Day is created to make a healthier and wealthier community economically, physically, intellectually and spiritually. Chantilly Day is created to encourage hands on participation of people, businesses, educational, scientific and arts organizations in building and maintaining the well-being of the community.
For this festive day all of the events represent each segment of the Chantilly Day slogan by:
-
Paying homage to our heritage and the quilt of our community.
-
Showcasing Local businesses, civic, art and scientific organizations of all sizes and recognizing those with highest growth and contribution to the local economy.
-
Presenting the best in our educational institutions. Recognizing the high achieving students who are the biggest investment for creating a better future.
First Chantilly Day was celebrated on May 12, 2012. President of the American Friends of Chantilly in France Mrs. Candice Nancel and a delegate from City of Chantilly France, Mrs. Anne Peck attended the first Chantilly Day. SF Design Group prepared banners with the help of the Chantilly students. These banners were presented to the honored guests as gifts from the students in Chantilly, Virginia USA to the students in Chantilly, France. It was a day of joy for both cities and the entire community.
