Cook Book for Cancer Patients
This is neither a medical book nor a chef’s book. The recipes in this book were created as a result of my personal experience while preparing food for my mother, Ghodsieh.
These recipes are not suggested as a means to curing cancer. Instead, they are mostly nutritious and suited for easier digestion as well as being fun to eat. This book may also help you in grocery shopping while selecting ingredients or prepackaged food.
I had initially searched for recipes and nutrition information for cancer patients through hospital handouts and cancer center websites. The amount of information and their diversity was scarce. Yet they helped me to improvise while incorporating some of our own family recipes. This collection was intended to be a source of inspiration and a stepping stone to prepare the meals as you wish. Ultimately, it has evolved into being an unintended chapter of a personal diary expressed in recipes and photographs.
This cookbook is in loving memory of mother and father.
