This residential facility was aimed to house young male who had required additional supervision. Saharnaz Farivar was the senior Project Designer and architect and performed also as construction administrator. The renovation and rehabilitation of this three story facility included but not limited to:
- Incorporating new central air conditioning and heating system.
- Providing additional parking spaces.
- Adding an elevator tower to satisfy all the applicable codes including ADA.
- Replacing windows with energy efficient insulated windows.
- Testing all cracks and joints to eliminate the air infiltration and reducing the cost for the A/C operation and removing all the asbestos.
- Adding the sprinkler system.
- Renovation of the interior offices, gathering/recreation room, kitchen, craft and hobby studios, outdoor playing facilities, game rooms, reception room library and studying room, painting, and carpeting, improving landscaping, replacing or repairing all the interior and exterior lighting.
